Disneyland

We decided to surprise our kids with a trip to Disneyland. They had a fun time, it was way crowded though. Oh well. On our flight down to California our little Luke decided to take care of some business. So Chris hands him to me and says I need to change him. I ask him, are you sure he's done? He tells me he's been going for a while and stinks and I need to change him. So I grab a diaper and wipes and have to head to the front of the plane where the bathroom with the changing table is. I get in there and start changing Luke, but he's not done. Now, if anyone reading this has had kids and changed a diaper they know it can become quite the process especially if your in a tight cramped place, the baby is still "going" and you only have one diaper. So needless to say I used what was available....paper towels, toilet paper, all the wipes I brought to hopefully keep the bathroom clean at least. Well, while Luke is going, someone is knocking on the bathroom door. Well, there's no rushing a baby so the person is going to have to wait, and trust me, they don't want to come in there right now. The person outside is quite persistent, they keep knocking, rattling the handle and I can't do much about it. Finally the flight attendant explained I was changing a diaper. The person let off a little bit, but would rattle the handle a bit to let me know the pressure was still on. Well, after about 10-15 min. no exaggeration, I have the diaper and all the paper products in a garbage bag and am ready to come out. I come out, say sorry to the man waiting and head to my seat. I sit down and Chris was laughing. I asked what was so funny, cuz to me, this hasn't been comical at all. He said that he was laughing because of who was waiting to use the bathroom while I was in there. He told me it was a washed up actor from the late 80's early 90's. I hadn't noticed, but I was pretty flustered over the whole thing and didn't really pay attention to who it was. When he came out it was Polly Shore. I then found the whole thing funny also.

Haircuts

We gave Kyle a haircut finally. He wanted to grow his hair out so he could head bang when he played guitar hero. He finally got sick of it and let us cut it. He could head bang a little bit. :)

I finally gave Luke a haircut too. He's had 2 or three trims just to keep his hair out of his eyes and down his neck, but I finally cut it all over. Here are the before and after pics of him.

We had our yearly Christmas party and Santa's little helper showed up. Isn't he cute.

We had a fun halloween. Kyle dressed up as Wolverine and was sad because his costume didn't have claws for his hands. So we asked Chris' mom Jolene to help us and we made some. He loved them.

Joey was a cheerleader. She was adorable.

And Luke was a zebra or white tiger....you can decide.

I had Luke on September 17th. We are all doing great. He has been a great baby and Kyle and Joey absolutely adore him. They have been so gentle and sweet to him. Here's some pictures of our newest family member.

Summertime

Well my kids are out of school for the summer and I'm already running out of ideas to keep them busy without me going insane. If anyone has any suggestions I'm all ears. It hasn't been that bad really, but it has only been a day. :)
Last night we went to Chris' cousin Jory's high school graduation. The kids were a bit bored to say the least but they did great overall. Sitting there Kyle leaned over to Chris and said, "Dad, I need some energy. How about when we get home we share a caffeinated drink." Chris thought it was really funny.

IT'S A BOY!

I had my ultrasound last week and we found out we're having another boy. Kyle was ecstatic when the doctor typed boy. Joey buried her head into Chris' shoulder and never looked up again. She even cried on the way home so when we got home I took her shopping to pick out an outfit for the new little guy and she is all good now. Shopping made it all better. :)

Well, since we've played jokes on both our families to let them know the news, I guess it's time the rest of you found out too. We are expecting our third little one. I'm due September 24 and thanks to modern medication I'm feeling pretty good this with pregnancy.
With Chris' family we put the ultrasound picture in a frame and set it at their house and waited for them to notice it. Their other son noticed it after about a week. It was pretty funny.
We decided to tell my family on April's Fools Day. They believed us until they realized the date. Then my mom actually called us telling us that she and my dad were expecting too. They thought it was a big joke so that was fun for us.

Mexican Cruise

Chris and I just got back from our Mexican Cruise. We had a great time and the weather was absolutely perfect. We saw hump back whales, dolphins, iguanas, huge spiders, manta ray's, marlin, and a lot of colorful fish while snorkeling. I also got too close to a not so friendly jellyfish. It was a lot of fun.

This was one of the sunsets from the boat. Our camera doesn't do it justice, but it was gorgeous.

Joey's Dance Recital

Joey had her first dance recital on the 7th of January. She was so cute and so excited for it. Here is a picture of after the recital when she was still in her cute outfit. She sure looks different with curly hair.

She kept holding her flowers like they were a baseball bat. No matter how many times we tried to have her hold them differently, she always went back to the baseball bat way.

December at the Marchbanks

We got quite a bit of snow this month and we decided to make a snowman, but all of our neighbors made snowmen, so we decided to turn ours into a snowbunny. The kids started helping us with it, but in the end me and Chris were outside finishing it while the kids were inside getting warm.

This is a picture of the cold storage at my Grandparents Bitters house. It is where they kept all the apples. It is basically a big fridge inside. It was taken the day we went up there after my grandma had died and I wanted to take some pictures to remember how the place was before it was changed.

Halloween costumes

We had a Halloween party at my sisters house and here is a picture of the kids. Joey is sleeping beauty and Kyle is Obi Won Kanobi. Joey looks a lot different as a blond. We also painted pumpkins last monday. Kyle's is obviously Mickey Mouse, and Joey's is a nice ghost.

California Trip

We went down and did the Southern California thing. We all had a great time. Besides just us, Chris' Parents and two sisters came. My sister Becki and her family came as well as my brother and his family. We went to Disneyland for 3 days, Sea World and Universal Studios, as well as Newport Beach (which was Joey's Favorite).

It's good to be back home, but we had a ton of fun!!

Camping and new addition

Lately we've been working on our playhouse in out back yard. It's taken quite awhile since the weather didn't want to cooperate with us. But now it is done and kids absolutely love it. They always want to play outside on it, rain or shine.
